The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council commissioned HVM to mentor a member of staff and help refine the design of a pilot training day about public engagement for scientists. This is an excellent opportunity to draw on our skills in dialogue and facilitation as well as capacity building.

The first training day took place on 10 July 2012 at the Medical Research Council in London; and the next one is scheduled for 11 December. The purpose of the workshop is to inspire and support scientists to carry out effective public engagement that reflects upon the social and ethical perspectives of their work.
