MLA response Accreditation report
MLA has published a response to HVM's recommendations about the future development of Accreditation. We are delighted MLA's Review Committee has taken on board most of our findings and look forward to the next consultation stage in which MLA will test a draft version of the new standard.Hopkins Van Mil was commissioned to consult the museum sector in the UK about the future development of Accreditation. In a press release MLA said: 'The format of the standard will be dismantled, stripped back, rebuilt and re-presented as a more focussed list of requirements. There will be increased flexibility for museums to demonstrate success, the process of Accreditation will be less bureacriatic, and we will build in consumer view so that museums demonstrate their reponsiveness to their communities.'
